Reminding Voters to Care

image

Never shy about sharing what’s on their minds, NYC-based designers Jessica Walsh 08 GD and Stefan Sagmeister of Sagmeister & Walsh have thrown themselves into the maelstrom of presidential politics. Their goal? Motivate millennials to vote – and lend their support to Hillary Clinton

Given that only 26% of this age group voted in 2012, S&W recognizes just how much is at stake if people under the age of 35 are so disenchanted that they opt out again this year.

So through their new site Pins Won’t Save the World, Sagmeister & Walsh is promoting a collection of badges, patches, tees, tattoos, posters, stickers and bumper stickers to help people let the world know where they stand.

“We want everyone to be able to wear their heart (and politics) on their sleeves (or bags and jackets),” say S&W, which is donating all proceeds from the sale of their pins and other paraphernalia to Amnesty International’s The America I Believe In campaign.
